ROBERTSDALE, Alabama -- The Snook Christian Academy Eagles soared to a 22-14 victory in their first-ever varsity football contest Friday night against the St. Patrick Catholic High Fighting Irish of Biloxi, Mississippi, at J.D. Sellars Stadium in Robertsdale.
After Garrett Phillips recovered a fumble at the Irish 5-yard line, the Eagles drove 95 yards, capped by a 21-yard run by Trell Prim, then tacked on a 2-point conversion with 4:07 to play in the game.
Senior Will Crosby then recovered a fumble at the 4-yard line to secure the win.
The Eagles will take their first victory on the road Friday night to take on Munroe High School in the Bobcats’ season opener at home in Quincy, Florida. Game time is set for 6 p.m.
