My heart goes out to the couple that attempted the murder/suicide last week from Baldwin County.

They have been married for many years and chose to end their lives together. As a senior myself, I can somewhat understand their desperation. The Golden years for many of us have become a nightmare.We find  ourselves on a fixed income that is not adequate to accommodate the lifestyle  we were accustomed to. All of a sudden we are having to choose between food  and medicine. We can’t afford both anymore. Luxuries are a thing of the past; we just hope we have enough money this month for the necessities. Many of us thought we planned wisely and the stock market and housing crunch have taken their tolls on our nest eggs.
