Daphne Utilities earns statewide recognition for water quality

Daphne Utilities has been honored with two prestigious awards for its water quality achievements by the Alabama Water Pollution Control Association (AWPCA).

The accolades were announced during the association's Annual Conference, recognizing the utility's commitment to excellence in water treatment.

Daphne Utilities' Water Quality Department earned the Award of Excellence for the Lovette Water Treatment Plant. This award highlights the superior operations carried out by the plant's operators throughout 2023. Additionally, the Trojan Water Treatment Plant received the Best Operated Plant Award, recognizing the outstanding efforts of its operators over the past year.

Daphne Utilities serves the Eastern Shore community, providing reliable water, wastewater, and natural gas services to ensure the highest level of comfort and quality for its residents.

Chief Communications Officer Samantha Coppels expressed pride in the team's accomplishments, stating, "We are honored to receive these two awards from the Alabama Water Pollution Control Association. Our team's focus on protecting and enhancing water quality has been recognized, and we couldn't be more proud."
