BAY MINETTE —Saturday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. at Blackburn Park, a benefit will be held for Collin Davis, a 6-year-old in his second battle with cancer. Davis, the son of Terri and John Davis of Perdido, learned recently that he has a Stage 3 brain tumor.
The family is in need of funds for traveling expenses and lodging for trips to and from St. Jude Children’s Hospital in Memphis, Tenn., and the benefit will raise money to support that effort.
Hosted by Bay Minette Masonic Lodge No. 498, Brothers of the Craft Master Mason Motorcycle Association, Bay Minette Civic Club and others, the event will feature a motorcycle ride, car cruise, bike and car show, live music by RAIN and Seeking Shelter, $5 spaghetti plates and Pepsi products and concessions.
More information on the event can be found at bmcivicclub.com. Donations to the Collin Davis Benefit Fund can be made at Regions Bank. For more information or to volunteer to help, contact Stoney Shiver at (251) 752-0738 or baldwineagle@aol.com.
Blackburn park is one block southeast of the Courthouse Square in Bay Minette, at E 1st St. and N. Hoyle Ave.
