Carrie Rebecca Coate and Bobby Ronald Owens Jr. were united in marriage June 2, 2007 at Saint James Episcopal Church of Fairhope. The Rev. Jerry Henry of First Baptist Church of Fairhope officiated.

The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Livingston Marmaduke Coate of Spanish Fort. She is the granddaughter of the late Mr. and Mrs. Herndon Tartt Coate of Spanish Fort and the late Mr. and Mrs. Adna Crear Anderson Jr. of Jackson.

The bridegroom is the son of Marilyn Banagan Owens of Fairhope and the late Bobby Ronald Owens Sr. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis Owens of Fairhope.

The bride was given in marriage by her father.

Lauren Elizabeth Gilley of Mobile served as maid of honor. Bridesmaids were Lisa Owens Dorriety of Fairhope, sister of the bridegroom; Joni Ojard of Spanish Fort, Dee Pace of Fairhope and Heather Price of Summerdale.

Blake Owens and Connor Owens, sons of the bridegroom, served as best men. Groomsmen were Mark Bradley of Fairhope, Matthew Coate of Spanish Fort, brother of the bride, Matthew Dorriety of Fairhope and Felipe Owens of Fairhope, brother of the bridegroom.

Flower girl was Maggie Dorriety of Fairhope, niece of the bridegroom. The ring bearer was Brent Dorriety of Fairhope, nephew of the bridegroom.

Ushers were Brett Anderson and Nolan Anderson of Baton Rouge, La., and Lee Gilley of Mobile.

Musician was Terry Maddox. Vocalists were Laureen Bell, Scott Lee and Dee Pace. Reader was Angie Dunnam.

A reception at the Nix Center in Fairhope followed the ceremony.

After a honeymoon to the Cayman Islands, the couple reside in Fairhope.
