GULF SHORES — Fête de la Musique or Make Music Day is an annual music celebration that takes place around the globe annually on June 21. This year, celebrate the day in Gulf Shores.
The city of Gulf Shores has planned a variety of free events to celebrate Make Music Day and the summer solstice. The day is meant to bring together people of all ages and skill levels to make music on the longest day of the year.
"We're excited to bring this international day of music-making to Gulf Shores and encourage everyone to find their inner musician," said Grant Brown, recreation and cultural affairs director. "Make Music Day is one way we focus on the importance of the arts and culture in our community."
The city of Gulf Shores will celebrate Make Music Day with the following events:
Live Music at the Bodenhamer Recreation Center
Make Music at the museum
Make Music at Meyer Park
