Bradley honored as Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student for December

Posted

SUMMERDALE - Zaylee Nanette Bradley, eight grader at Fairhope Middle School, was recognized as Baldwin EMC’s Shining Star Student for the month of December. She was nominated for “displaying the Touchstone Energy characteristics of integrity, innovation, accountability and commitment to community,” according to a release.
Fairhope Middle School Registrar Alice Korhonen nominated Bradley for the recognition.
“Zaylee is an outstanding student academically and socially,” Korhonen wrote in her nomination submission. “She maintains honor roll status and is the manager for our girls’ basketball team. Zaylee is an office aide at FMS. When I register new students, I can always depend on her to show them around the school and make them aware of school protocol - all the while doing it with a big smile and a welcoming attitude. Many times, parents have come back to me to say how comfortable she made them feel as well as how thorough she was on the tour. Zaylee is always positive, cheerful, and respectful. She is such an outstanding and well-rounded student that I think she deserves to be a Shining Star Student!”
Bradley was presented with a Shining Star Student certificate and a $50 Visa gift card. WALA FOX 10 TV’s meteorologist Michael White and Baldwin EMC representative Kim Frank presented the award.
