BAY MINETTE, Ala. - On April 23, 2020 the Baldwin County High School wrestling team lost a member of its family. Coach Joiner Stewart said Damian Singleton was a true scholar athlete, excelling in the classroom and on the mat, finishing with a 39-31 overall record in his two seasons and falling one win short of qualifying for the state tournament in his sophomore season.
"More importantly," Stewart said, Damian treated those around him with kindness and respect.
"He was an integral piece in the culture of our program. His loss has left a hole in our family that goes deeper than wins and losses in the stat book," Stewart said.
BCHS Tigers Wrestling will host the Spanish Fort Toros at 5:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan 12. This match will be dedicated to the memory of Damian Singleton. #onceatigeralwaysatiger
