FOLEY, Ala. — Business Council of Alabama President and CEO William J. Canary addresses the latest installment of South Baldwin Chamber of Commerce’s Leadership Lunch series last week at Foley Civic Center.
In his address to the South Baldwin business community, Canary discussed the importance of innovative thinking, voting in elections and ensuring that students stay in school so they can receive an up-to-date education that would prepare them to be future business leaders.
“We cannot continue to use a 19th century model to teach a 21st century education,” he said, adding that the same tools used in business should be applied to the modern education model.
Canary also presented attendees with a copy of “The Capstone Progress 2014,” the sixth in a series of annual books chronicling BCA’s activities. For more information, visit BCAToday.org.
