DAPHNE — Bayside Academy senior Walker Watson has been named a semifinalist for the 2022 United States Presidential Scholars Program and will now advance to the final round of the competition.

According to the U.S. Department of Education, only 620 students in the entire country (out of a pool of nearly 3.7 million graduating high school seniors) have been selected as semifinalists, and up to 161 will be named U.S. Presidential Scholars.

Bayside Academy is an independent, coeducational, college preparatory day school for students in grades PK3–12.
