Another Burgers & Bingo on the Square is in the books for the City of Bay Minette. The free event is held twice a year, in the spring and fall, and features prizes donated by area businesses, churches and individuals.

The Baldwin County High School Quarterback Club grilled the burgers and hotdogs and the Kiwanis Club of Bay Minette sold drinks and other treats. Both of these organizations use this community outreach as a way to fund special projects.

Pepsi Cola Bottling of Atmore was the title sponsor for the event once again. This business has been a part of Burgers & Bingo since the very beginning and has sponsored all 10 events.

One fun aspect of Burgers & Bingo is the hula hoop competitions. Whenever more than one person bingos, all winners have to compete for the chance to be the big winner of that game via a hula hoop competition.

Through the years, the hula hoop skills have definitely improved as there was some epic battles this year. The city will hold its next installment of Burgers & Bingo in the spring.
