Bama Beach Pickleball clinics going strong

Posted

On Jan. 19, Bama Beach held its second Beginners' Clinic at the Church of Christ in Gulf Shores.
A total of 69 beginners came to the clinics and learned the fundamentals of the fastest growing sport in the U.S.
Experienced players, Marnie and Chuck Whalen, Jean Bennett and Junior VanDyke, were there to help the 'newbies' get started. By the end of the clinic most of the players were anxious to return for more play.
Join in on the fun each Thursday and Friday, from 1 to 4 p.m. A Beginners' Play Day is being held at the church so those new to the game can come and practice. Games for more experienced players are at the church from 9 a.m. to noon, Monday through Saturday.
