Friday, April 2, 6 – 8 p.m.: First Friday Art Walk. Live music by Jay Megginson inside and performing arts by The Studio outside. Free admission. Refreshments and music sponsored by Wynona’s Insurance Agency. Exhibit featured: Annual Members' Juried Show with various works from the Artist Level members of the Eastern Shore Art Association. Work will be on display through May 2, 2021. Exhibit featured: Nall Collection: Alabama Art featuring Charlie Lucas. Iconic and self-taught artist Lucas has been creating art since his childhood, but began creating art seriously after a debilitating accident in 1948. Working with cast-off materials, old tin, bicycle wheels, mufflers, wire and junk, he became known as Charlie “Tin Man” Lucas. His paintings and sculptures have been exhibited both nationally and internationally. This display is made possible by a generous gift artist Nall to the Eastern Shore Art Center in 2020 and all exhibiting work is for sale to benefit ESAC and Alabama Artists. Work will be on display through May 2, 2021.
Wednesday, April 7, 4 – 5 p.m.: Volunteer Appreciation Happy Hour. All ESAC volunteers are invited to an afternoon of refreshments!
• Friday, April 16, 7 p.m.: Radio Days: BayCities Improv Company presents Alice in Wonderland. Step back in time and become a member of a live 1940's studio audience while BayCities’ IMPROVactive actors revisit classic radio dramas in this new series. Tickets available through EventBrite. $20 per person.
• Friday, April 30 – Sunday, May 2 @ 10 a.m. – 5 p.m. each day: 49th Annual Outdoor Art Show. 90 Artist booths lining Section Street between Oak and Magnolia Streets downtown Fairhope, live music, art raffle and more. Free admission. More info online at www.esartcenter.org
