Buckle up Baldwin County because this weekend is jam packed with fun. From crawfish and Zydeco to outdoor hobbies and Earth Day there is something to do every moment this weekend. Enjoy music and a movie in Heritage Park to kick things off Friday evening or take in the Live at Five Concert in Fairhope. Saturday morning you have a pick of crawfish and Zydeco in Gulf Shores, Earth Day in Fairhope or the Outdoor Expo in North Baldwin County. Finish up your weekend with brunch and a drag show in Mobile. This weekend's list of top events is longer than usual but there are even more listed on our Event Calendar on GulfCoastMedia.com.

Zydeco Crawfish Festival

  • What: Waterway Village will fill with Zydeco music, food and fun for two days. Friday is a ticketed concert by Rebirth Brass Band out of New Orleans from 7 to 9 p.m. On Saturday, enjoy a day filled with family-friendly fun, food, music and more.
  • When: Friday, April 21 at 7 p.m. and Saturday, April 22 from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Where: Waterway Village, Gulf Shores
  • Price: Friday concert tickets are $29; festival is free to attend

Music and a Movie in Heritage Park

  • What: Music and a Movie and Heritage Park Marketplace return. Vendors will sell plants, vegetables, fruits and gift items starting at 4:30 p.m. Live music begins at 6 p.m. and the movie begins at dusk. Bring a chair or blanket and enjoy watching "Back to the Future" under the stars.
  • When: Friday, April 21, 4:30 p.m.
  • Where: Heritage Park, 125 E. Lauren Ave., Foley
  • Price: Free to attend

Live at Five: Corey Smith

  • What: Enjoy an evening of music in downtown Fairhope with the Live at Five Spring Concert Series. This week's headliner is Corey Smith with The Bruce Smelly Brand and Tim Roberts as opening acts. Tickets are available at Eventbrite.com.
  • When: Friday, April 21, at 5 p.m.
  • Where: Halstead Amphitheater, 450 Fairhope Ave., Fairhope
  • Price: Tickets are $20 for adults and $10 for children.

Silverhill Heritage Day Festival

  • What: Don't miss the 38th Annual Heritage Day Festival in Silverhill. Enjoy shopping local vendors, food trucks and enjoy live entertainment.
  • When: Saturday, April 22, the fun begins at 9 a.m.
  • Where: 15965 Silverhill Ave., Silverhill
  • Price: Free to attend

Discover North Baldwin Outdoor Expo

  • What: All things outdoors, in one place. The expo will highlight the area's natural resources and hobbies. Visit vendors, enjoy live music, speakers and demos.
  • When: Saturday, April 22, from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
  • Where: Bicentennial Park, 51233 AL – 225, Stockton
  • Price: Free to attend

Earth Day Mobile Bay

  • What: Celebrate Earth Day at the Fairhope Pier. Explore the environmental exhibits, ecological innovations, live music, children's activities and more. Don't miss stopping by the Chalk the Trail just up the hill.
  • When: Saturday, April 22, from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.
  • Where: Fairhope Pier, 1 North Beach Road, Fairhope
  • Price: Free to attend

Mobile Bay Anime Festival 2023

  • What: The Mobile Bay Anime Festival is a one-day event that celebrates anime, manga, pop culture and animation. To purchase tickets, visit www.mobilebayanimefest.com.
  • When: Saturday, April 22, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
  • Where: Daphne Civic Center, 2603 U.S. Highway 98, Daphne

Back to the 80s Drag Brunch
