Tired of the rain and ready to enjoy this false fall? There are plenty of things to do around the area, from Mobile to Pensacola, that don't require a bathing suit and towel.

From celebrating Oktoberfest to celebrating turtles, and whether you like art or live music, there's something for an array of activities this weekend.

COASTAL COUNTY OKTOBERFEST '24

What: Prost! It's that time of year when we break out the steins and raise them in a toast to honor a beloved Bavarian tradition... It's Oktoberfest time. Pensacola's largest Oktoberfest celebration will feature festive attire, fun competitions, authentic German eats, live music and a release of family-brewed German beer style. There will also be six different commemorative steins available for purchase, festival t-shirts and as much decor as a real Bavarian beer hall.

LODA ARTWALK CELEBRATES CINEMA

What: Immerse yourself in the magic of cinema as Cathedral Square comes alive with a celebration of film, featuring an outdoor screening of the 1942 Oscar-winning classic "Casablanca." As you enjoy the movie under the stars, explore a vibrant array of local vendors, live music and captivating art. The Kids' Zone will offer cinema-themed crafts and activities, providing fun for all ages.

TURTLE FEST

ELBERTA VFW OKTOBERFEST

What: Celebrating the German heritage of Elberta, enjoy a day of German food, German music, German beer (exclusive to the area), quality craft vendors, kids' place, game and prizes. German food by The Benjamin Thomas Werner Foundation.

RANDY TRAVIS: MORE LIFE TOUR

What: The Randy Travis: More Life Tour features the legendary country singer and his co-star in The Price, James Dupré, and the Country Music Hall of Fame member's long-time touring band, consisting of Steve Hinson, David Johnson, Lance Dary, Bill Cook, Joe Van Dyke and Herb Shucher along with longtime tour manager Jeff Davis, have rejoined "Hoss," as they affectionately call Travis, on the road after his life altering stroke in 2013. The show will consist of Dupré and the band performing all 16 of his iconic No. 1s, including "On The Other Hand," "Forever and Ever, Amen" and "Three Wooden Crosses." Randy Travis will make a special appearance, and VIP passes are available that include a meet and greet with the country icon, himself. WSRE PBS KIDS DAY

What: Join Daniel Tiger and Clifford the Big Red Dog for some PBS Kids fun at Gulfarium Marine Adventure Park. Along with character meet-and-greets, children can engage in hands-on activities, including arts and crafts and a scavenger hunt, while also taking in the park's dolphin and sea lion shows, animal exhibits and aquariums. DUSTI BONGE: THE CREATIVE LIFE

What: Dusti Bongé: The Creative Life provides a look at the creative evolution of a woman who has been called Mississippi's first true modern artist. Expanding on the success of the museum's recent Spotlight installation, this new exhibition presents some of her early realist watercolor and mixed media compositions, four large abstract expressionist paintings and an oil on masonite inspired by a trip to Mexico, all on loan from the Paul Bongé Collection. The newly installed gallery includes a Mississippi Public Broadcasting documentary that features the artist at work in her studio, as well as labels that tell the story of her journeys to the height of the New York art world and back home to Biloxi.
