Has the extra-long weekend thrown you off schedule? You are not alone. Holiday hangovers are a real thing so just lean into it and keep the holiday fun rolling all weekend long.

This weekend's list of events happening on the Gulf Coast is varied and full of fun. From the First Friday Art Walk and the Flora-Bama Freedom Run to live music at OWA and the All-American Gasser Fest there is something to keep everyone happy.

First Friday Art Walk

  • What: The monthly First Friday Art Walk has a patriotic twist this holiday weekend. The Eastern Shore Art Center is hosting a Hot Dog Social with hot dogs, sno-cones, live music and new exhibits. While you are there, become a member of the Eastern Shore Art Center. The galleries and shops tend to stay open later and host local artists. Head downtown, stroll around and enjoy all Fairhope has to offer.
  • When: Friday, July 5, 6-8 p.m.
  • Where: Downtown Fairhope

Flora-Bama Freedom Run

  • What: Spend your Saturday morning at the Flora-Bama's Second Annual Freedom Run. This patriotic run features two courses: the 4-mile course and the 1-mile fun run course. Break out your best red, white and blue attire. A portion of the proceeds from the race will benefit America's Heroes Enjoying Recreation Outdoors (AHERO) Foundation.
  • When: Saturday, July 6, the race begins at 8 a.m.
  • Where: Flora-Bama Lounge, 17401 Perdido Key Dr., Pensacola
  • Price: Registration varies from $25-$35 visit florabama.com to register

OWA Live Music Series – The Undertow

  • What: Spend an evening enjoying a great lineup of music during the OWA Live Music Series. This week brings The Undertow with The Funky Lampshades as the opening act. Bring a picnic or grab a bite to eat and drink in Downtown OWA before the music begins.
  • When: Saturday, July 6, 4:30-8:30 p.m.
  • Where: Downtown OWA, 105 S. OWA Blvd., Foley
  • Price: Free to attend

Spanish Fort Market Day

  • What: Shop small and support local businesses during the Spanish Fort Market Days. On the first Saturday of the month, local artists, crafters and businesses gather at The Container Park for this fun shopping experience.
  • When: Saturday, July 6, 3-7 p.m.
  • Where: 29001 Bass Pro Drive, Spanish Fort

All-American Gasser Fest

  • What: Add a little thrill to your weekend with the All-American Gasser Fest at Mobile Dragway. From racing enthusiasts to the family looking for fun, there is something for everyone. The evening includes races, food trucks, inflatables for the children and the night ends with a spectacular fireworks display.
  • When: Saturday, July 6, Gates open at 3 and races begin at 7 p.m.
  • Where: Mobile Dragway, 7800 Park Blvd., Irvington
  • Price: Admission is $20 for guests over 13-years-old, 12 and under are free

LifeSouth Blood Drive

  • What: Do your part to save a life. Join LifeSouth for a community blood drive where all donors will receive a $20 e-gift card.
  • When: Saturday, July 6, 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.
  • Where: 4673 Marline Circle, 4673 Wharf Parkway, Orange Beach

First Free Sunday – History Museum of Mobile

  • What: There's nothing quite as nice as free fun and on the first Sunday of the month, the History Museum of Mobile and Colonial Fort Conde open their doors to the public and admission is free from 1-5 p.m. In celebration of Independence Day, guests are invited to partake in a unique historical reenactment about Mobile during the Revolutionary War, The Capture of Captain James Willing. It is a one-hour event in the Fort Courtyard at 2 p.m.
  • When: Sunday, June 2, 1-5 p.m.
  • Where: History Museum of Mobile, 111 S. Royal St., Mobile
  • Price: Free to attend
