The 2016 Sun Belt Women’s Soccer Championship begins in Foley on Wednesday, Nov. 2, at Foley’s new Sports Tourism Complex. Semifinal matches take place on Friday, Nov. 4. The championship game is scheduled for Sunday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m. (CT). ESPN3 will broadcast all matches of the tournament. Games are also available on the WatchESPN app.
These events are open to the public with no admission or parking charges.
Don Staley, Foley’s executive director of sports, says that Foley is ready for several large tournaments scheduled in November.
“This is a great opportunity to welcome so many teams from across the country. We look forward to introducing them to Foley’s first-rate facilities and southern hospitality,” said Staley.
The schedule for the Sun Belt Conference women's soccer tournament is as follows: matches on Nov. 2 at 10 a.m., 1 p.m., 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.; semifinal matches Nov. 4 at 4 p.m. and 7 p.m. on Nov. 4. The championship game is on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 7 p.m.
The Alabama State Cup Soccer Championships will be played in Foley on Nov. 5-6 and 12-13, from 8 a.m. until 10 p.m. at the soccer complex located near Juniper Street and County Road 20 in Foley.
The NIRSA National Soccer Championship will be played in Foley from Nov. 16 through Nov. 19.
