FOLEY – Kathryn Taylor, city clerk for Foley, recently earned the Master Municipal Clerk (MMC) designation, awarded by the International Institute of Municipal Clerks. The designation is awarded to municipal clerks who complete rigorous education requirements and also have a record of significant contributions to their local governments, community and state. Taylor is certified in city/county management through the Alabama City County Management Association.
Lifelong learning is necessary for local government employees to keep pace with the growing demands and changing needs of the municipalities and citizens they serve. The city of Foley supports employees by encouraging educational opportunities that enhance their job function.
Taylor has lived in the Foley area since 2011, and worked with the city since February of 2013. She is married to Ronnie Taylor. They have three children, Krissy, Zachary and Griffin, and two grandchildren.
