The Foley Police Department arrested an 8th grade student at Foley Middle School after the student “made a terroristic threat.” The student is alleged to have commented that he was going to “shoot up the school before the end of the school year.”
No weapons were present at the time, and there was not any imminent danger to Foley Middle students. Parents were notified of the incident immediately.
Baldwin County Public Schools Superintendent Eddie Tyler was stated as saying all comments such as the one made by the Foley Middle student are taken seriously by law enforcement, the school system, and by school administration.
