DOTHAN,Ala. - Dalton Anderson and Jeff Ricks took the Silver Medal in golf at the 2021 Alabama State Games in Dothan. Golf was included for the first time in 38 years and it was held at the Robert Trent Jones Course in Dothan in June.
“They had the toughest greens we'd ever played,” Jeff Ricks said. “Fast and huge humps, but our putting was hot! Dalton's tee shots were going over 300 yards and both of us had hot putters and wedges. We managed a (one-under) -1, 71 for Silver. I am really proud of the fact that I prepared well and kept my head in the game all the way to the end. This is my greatest achievement in golf.”
Ricks is the golf coach at Foley High and Anderson one of his players. For more on Foley Lions, visit: BCBE.org/Foley online.
