This is an annual award given to a member of the Alabama Association of Family Consumer Sciences. The organization has 110 members who range from teachers, extension workers, and research scientists, to anyone who works in the field of Family Consumer Sciences.
The award is given to a member with at least eight years of membership and service to the organization.
In the presentation it was read that, “Mrs. B is firecracker worker who goes above and beyond in all her endeavors. She is a voice and advocate for FCS, and she is a constant resource and mentor for the teachers in the state.
“She has always mentored her students to excel and to push the limits of their dreams. For four years, Mrs. B has produced winners in the various Fashion Weeks on the Gulf Coast. She networks with industry to keep our members current and up to date with trends and techniques in all things FCS.”
