I notice with much interest the idea of having half of the County Commission meetings in Fairhope starting in October. My point of question is why?
I know they say there isn’t enough room elsewhere to accommodate the public. I beg to differ. To begin with, such matters should be held as close to Central Baldwin as possible. Along Highway 59 is where the population most is located, and I do believe there is plenty of space in Robertsdale, Loxley and Foley.
Likely only need a little coordinating with the towns, city, etc. to handle the space matter.
Another matter to seriously consider and act on: A new county court house should be built in Central Baldwin and the other turned into a museum. This is long overdue actually and let’s get to work on it so the public is properly served.
