Gulf Shores, Ala. – Gulf Adventure Center’s Hummingbird Ziplines will be offering ziplining tours during the full moon this weekend, June 21-23.
This month’s full moon, which will be at its fullest on Sunday, June 23rd, will be a “Supermoon” – this year’s largest and closest full moon.
The full moon zipline tours are part of Hummingbird Zipline’s “Zip After Dark” tours. During the after-hours trip, each of the seven towers is illuminated by an array of LED lights powered by off-the-grid solar panels. This offers a thrilling experience while zipping across the darkness to the lighted platforms on each tower, taking in moonlit views of the Gulf of Mexico and Lake Shelby.
Hummingbird Ziplines is an adrenaline-pumping 2-1/2 hour adventure on a circuit with more than a mile of ziplines. Consisting of seven towers and six ziplines, the course takes you as high as 90 feet off the ground.
Personally guided after dark zipline adventures are available for adults and children 13 and older for just $79 plus tax. Seniors and active duty military are priced at just $69. Special group and corporate event rates are also available.
