Mrs. Yvette Tessier Duck, 81, born in Fall River, Mass. and a resident of Bay Minette,died Friday, Aug. 10, 2012 at North Baldwin Infirmary.
She was a certified nurses assistant in home health care and the private sector. She was born May 25, 1931 to William R. and Eva Bernard Tessier. She enjoyed caring for her family and cooking and gardening. She was a devoted and beloved mother and grandmother. She is survived by two sons, Bill (Babs) Duck and Steve Duck, both of Bay Minette; three daughters, Debbie C. LaFontaine; Carol Ann Taylor, both of Bay Minette, and Barb (Neil) West, Panama City; 10 grandchildren, Michael LaFontaine, Ricky Duck, Amy Marie LaFontaine, Amber Taylor Godwin, Haley Taylor, Tiffany Duck Anderson, Alyssa West, Autumn West, Wendi West Lewis, Tiffany West and 11 great-grandchildren; six brothers, William Tessier, Cotuit, Mass., Norman Tessier, Swansea, Mass., Roland Tessier and Ernest Tessier, both of Fall River, Mass., Henry Tessier, Westville, Mass. and Leo Tessier, Westport, Mass.; one sister, Ora Caya, Westport, Mass. The family received friends Sunday, Aug. 12, 2012 at Norris Funeral Home. The funeral service will be held Monday, Aug. 13, 2012 at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Norris Funeral Home Home with Chaplain Cindy Still officiating. Interment will follow at Bay Minette Cemetery.
