The Thomas B. Norton Public Library in Gulf Shores announces the upcoming appearances of two acclaimed authors. Carolyn Haines, author of Ham Bones and Them Bones, will speak at the Erie Meyer Civic Center on Saturday, Aug. 4, at 10 a.m.

Come see the author whose “Bones” series is lauded by Kirkus Reviews as, “… like the Ya-Ya Sisterhood meets Stephanie Plum.”

Also appearing at this event is Deborah Ford, author of the popular “GRITS, Girls Raised in The South,” series. Ford will speak following Haines at 1noon.

Don’t miss this opportunity to enjoy the humor Ford’s new book offers with stories from women in all walks of life and treasured anecdotes from her own past.

With tips on how to keep the spirit of true GRITS friendship alive, from planting a tree in honor of a loved one to planning a decadent girls’ night out, Grits Friends are Forevah is must-read for anyone who wants to celebrate all the fabulous women in her life.

Everyone is encouraged to read Haines’ and Ford’s books before the event.
