Edwin G. Young, 72, born March 18, 1938 in Posey County, Ind., a resident of Bay Minette, died Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at the William F. Green Veterans Home.
He was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force and of the Indiana National Guard. He was employed with the Indiana Telephone Company of Madison, Ind., and with Jefferson Proving Ground, from which he retired in 1988.
He lived and worked in Madison and the surrounding area for over 28 years before moving to Alabama in 1994. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Bay Minette.
He was preceded in death by his parents and three brothers, Kenneth, Ivan E. and Jerry.
Survivors include his wife, Phyllis R. Young of Bay Minette; daughter, Rae Young Gundy of Bay Minette; son, Gene T. Young of Madison, Ind.; step-son, Terry L. Hall of Columbus, Ind.; sister, Wilmajean Wilson of Orleans, Ind.; one grandchild, two step-grandchildren and one step-great-grandchild.
Cremation arrangements are by Mack Funeral Home & Crematory Inc., Robertsdale.
