Yancy Billy “Y.B.” Patterson, 77, passed away March 9, 2014.
He was born March 11, 1936 in Bruce, Miss. to Carlos and Trudy Patterson. He had one brother, Steve.
Y.B. graduated from Pensacola High School in 1954. He was a former Florida Gator football player, and a graduate of University of Southern Mississippi.
He was in the Army Reserve as a military policeman.
In 1962, Y.B. married Carolyn Limes and they had two children, Melanie Ann (Franklin) and Joshua Jason “J.J.”
He retired from Ford Motor Credit in 1991.
Y.B. was preceded in death by his parents, his brother and his son.
His beloved grandchildren are Luke and Anna Patterson and Abbey Franklin. They will miss their “Poppers.”
At his request, there will be no funeral service.
