BAY MINETT, Ala. — Faulkner State Community College will welcome six local World War II veterans to the Faulkner State vs. Bishop State mens’ basketball game this evening.

The veterans will be announced between the womens’ and mens’ games, prior to the singing of the National Anthem. They are expected to arrive on the Bay Minette campus at 6:45 p.m., just before to the mens’ game.  With Bishop State being a local rival, the gym is expected to be full of cheering fans.

The veterans will present the game ball to the referees before the mens’ game, which begins at 7 p.m.

Dr. Barry Booth and Faulkner State’s Athletic Director/Mens’ Basketball Head Coach Jack Robertson worked together to finalize details regarding the visit from the veterans.
