Page & Palette Bookstore in Fairhope may have the perfect solution for parents whose children are begging for a pet. The children’s department will offer two Webkinz workshops, from 1 – 3 p.m. on April 14 and May 12.

Webkinz, currently the hottest thing going with kids, are lovable plush pets that each come with a unique secret code. With the code, children can enter the Webkinz World at www.webkinz.com.

In this imaginative world, pet owners can care for their virtual pet, answer trivia, earn KinzCash and play cool kids’ games.

The workshops will focus on teaching kids a variety of fun things to do with the interactive Web site.

Children are encouraged to come to the workshop and share their user names with other participants, so they can keep in touch with one another.

Attendees will also learn about all the online activities they can do with their Webkinz.

Page & Palette offers a punch card plan that helps kids work toward earning free Webkinz.

After buying any five Webkinz or Lil’ Kinz, customers receive one plush pet free.

Punch cards will be available at the workshops.
