A woman has been sentenced to five years probation for credit card theft in Foley.
The U.S. Attorney’s office announced Friday that 34-year-old Stephanie Holliefield received that sentence, as well as the order to pay $2,406.96 in restitution.
“Mrs. Hollifield pled guilty on May 15, 2014, to unlawfully using the credit cards she stole from the home of her employer,” the U.S. Attorney’s Office said.
“We arrested her and Charles Hollifield for using stolen credit cards here in Foley,” Foley Police Lt. David White said in an interview. “They were from Hancock County, Miss.”
White added that the cards were used in several other Baldwin county cities, and the two were charged in those cities.
“The cards were stolen from a victim in Mississippi,” he said.
According to the Baldwin County Sherri’s website, Hollifield was arrested Feb. 2 and charged with four counts of felony illegal possession of a credit or debit card, three counts of felony fraudulent use of a credit or debit card and one count of felony theft of property in the first degree for the theft of property valuing more than $2,500.
Those records indicate that Daphne Police arrested Holliefield in 2011 on a felony count of illegal possession of a credit or debit card.
While the U.S. Attorney’s office say Holliefield is from Grove Hill, Sherriff’s records indicate she has a Spanish Fort address.
