ORANGE BEACH, Ala. — The City of Orange Beach Wind and Water Learning Center will host its inaugural Pumpkin Paddle on Saturday, Oct. 19. Registration and check-in taking place at the Wind and Water Learning Center (behind the OB Public Library) will begin at 9:30 a.m., races begin at 10:30 a.m. Organizers hope to make it an annual event.

The paddle race is open to kayaks, canoes, and stand up paddleboards. There will be a 2.5 mile course, with separate divisions for solo kayak, tandem canoe or kayak, and SUP. There will also be a 1.5 mile course for youth participants.

Advanced registration fees are $25 per paddler and $60 per family (three or more immediate family members). Day-of registration fees are $30 per paddler and $75 per family. Entry fees include lunch, water/soft drinks, and a Pumpkin Paddle T-shirt. Prizes will be awarded for first, second, and third place division winners.
