Willis (Edge) Edgington AKA "Uncle Grumpy", 89 of Bay Minette died Jan. 19, 2012.
Edgington was a veteran of World War II, proudly serving his country in the Army Air Corp as a pilot in China-Burma-India. Edgington and his wife operated Uncle Grumpy's Furniture store in Bay Minette and Stapleton.
He is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Carol Edgington; daughters, Phyllis Mathes and Stephanie Christensen of Iowa, Janet Martin of California and son David of California; step-children Cindy Reed of Iowa, Tom Mullally of Georgia and Brigid Mullally of Maine; many grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his son, Rodney.
A memorial service with military honors was at the Stapleton Church of God in Stapleton.
