Williams, a longtime actor and volunteer at SBCT, was selected based on his academic achievement, recommendations and audition. Making the presentation were (from left) George James, SBCT treasurer; Joyce James, president emeritus and Elaina Herring, 2009-2010 SBCT president. Williams began his tenure at SBCT at age 12 in “On Golden Pond,” that was directed by Joyce James. Some of the shows he has done at SBCT include: “Charlie and the Chocolate Factory,” “High School Musical,” “Acting Rich,” “Shoes Blues,” “All Through the House” and “The Sound of Music.” His next role for SBCT will be as Tom in the musical “School House Rock Live Jr.,” that opens July 16 and runs through July 25.
