William N. “Bill” Blair, 71, a native and resident of Silverhill, died Monday, May 9, 2011 at his home surrounded by his loving family.
He served his country for 23 years in the U.S. Army and the U.S. National Guard to include the 101st Air Borne Division and the 20th Special Forces Unit. He taught school for over 25 years in Baldwin County and was blessed to touch the lives of thousands of children throughout his teaching career.
Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Carol A. Blair of Silverhill; daughter, Lisa (Stan) Vinson of Robertsdale; son, Spence (Leigh) Blair of Summerdale; sister, Christine (Jim) Patterson of Pensacola, Fla.; and four grandchildren, Logan and Ethan Vinson and Preston and John Parker Blair.
Visitation will be held from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 12 at Mack Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, May 13 at the Robertsdale First Baptist Church with the Rev. Jeff Copeland officiating. Burial will follow at Silverhill Cemetery.
