William Lloyd Ammons, 66, a native and resident of Perdido, died Monday, March 12, 2012, at his residence. He retired from the Baldwin County Board of Education, worked for various computer software companies and was a self employed truck driver. He is survived by his wife, Shirley Ann Byrd Ammons, Perdido; two sons, William Jonathan Ammons and Christopher Byron Ammons, both of Perdido,; his mother, Myrtle Lee Ammons, Perdido; four brothers, Floyd Ammons, Walter Ammons, Ray Ammons and Clint Ammons all of Perdido; two sisters, Ilene Niedergeses, Perdido, and Shelia Wooten of Cantonment, Fla.; and one grandson, Christopher Jonathan Ammons. He was preceded in death by his father, Jordan E. Ammons and a brother, Roger Ammons. Graveside services and burial will be Sunday, March 18, at 2 p.m. at Perdido Baptist Cemetery with the Rev.
