William Jonathan “John” Ammons, 43, born in Atmore and a resident of Perdido, died Friday, Nov. 21, 2014.
He was a corrections officer at Holman Corrections Facility in Atmore. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army National Guard.
He is survived by his son, Christopher Jonathan “Chris” Ammons of Perdido; his mother, Shirley Ann Ammons of Perdido; a brother, Christopher Byron Ammons of Mobile; and his grandmothers, Myrtle Lee Ammons of Perdido and Ethel Marie Byrd of Phillipsville.
He was preceded in death by his father, William Lloyd Ammons.
Funeral services will be held Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, at 3 p.m., at Norris Funeral Home in Bay Minette.
Cremation will take place at a later date.
The family will receive friends Friday, Nov. 28, 2014, from 1 p.m. until time of the service.
