William Clement Scott

William Clement Scott, 89, a native of Westfield, N.Y., and a long time resident of Fairhope, died Monday, Oct. 25, 2010, peacefully at home.

He was a member of St. Francis at the Point Episcopal Church.

In his high school days he became an Eagle Scout. After high school, with World War II looming, he joined the U.S. Coast Guard where he became a chief petty officer. He retired from Brookley Air Force Base and was an independent electrician for many years on the Eastern Shore.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Mary Cullen Scott.

Survivors include three children, Diane Scott (Thomas) McKenzie of Alexandria, La., Joseph William (Abbye) Scott of Fairhope and William Cullen (Tonya) Scott (Tonya) of Fairhope; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Eleanor Scott Brandon of Fairhope.

Visitation will be held from 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 28 at Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home, Fairhope. Graveside services and burial will be held at 10 a.m. Friday, Oct. 29 at Memory Gardens of Fairhope.

The family requests memorial donations be made to St. Francis at the Point Episcopal Church.
