Wayne Allen Perdew, 82, a resident of Foley, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 4, 2015.
He was the owner and operator of Shirley and Wayne’s Restaurant and Lounge, a U.S. Army veteran, Mason, Shriner and a Jester.
Mr. Perdew was preceded in death by his parents, Calvin and Bessie Perdew of Flintstone, Md.; and the youngest of 10 siblings.
Survivors include his wife of 41 years, Shirley Perdew of Foley; sons, Danny (BeBe) Perdew of Greeley, Colo. and David Perdew of Pensacola; stepson, Jack (Debi) Jensen of Portsmith, Va.; and grandchildren, Tara Wood, Jennifer (Ben) Turner, Amanda and Sarah Jensen, Alex (Zeriauh) Perdew and David Perdew II; great-grandchildren, Danny Perdew, Caleb Perdew, Alexis Grace Perdew, Chaiyah Grider and Collin Wood; and other relatives and friends.
A celebration of Wayne’s life will be announced at a later date.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggest memorials be made in Wayne’s name to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, TN 38105.
