Waterville USA will honor local law enforcement officers and firefighters with a special appreciation event in August, offering discounted Waterpark admission to eligible first responders.

From Aug. 3-7, 2, active law enforcement officers and firefighters can receive Waterpark admission for $10 by presenting a valid badge or department-issued identification at the ticket window. The discounted admission is available only to the eligible individual.

"We're incredibly grateful for the men and women who put themselves on the line every day to protect our families and our communities," said John Turberville, park manager of Waterville USA, in the release. "Their commitment, courage and sacrifice often go unnoticed, and this is our way of saying thank you. We hope they'll take a well-deserved break and enjoy a fun day at the park with us."

The Gulf Shores attraction said the promotion is intended to recognize the dedication and service of first responders who help keep communities safe.

Waterville USA, which has served families along the Alabama Gulf Coast for generations, said it is honored to celebrate the everyday heroes who contribute to public safety through the special appreciation event.
