Nicholas Michael Warren, 84, a lifelong resident of Ohio, in the Youngstown area, died Wednesday, April 23, 2008, at his residence.

During World War II, he served in the 517th Parachute Regimental Combat team, with tours that included Rome, southern France, and central Europe. After retiring from RMI Titanium in 1984, he made his home in Fairhope. He was a member of the Nix Center, enjoyed golf and travel, and thoroughly loved his friends and the East ern Shore lifestyle.

Survivors include two sons, Michael N. Warren of Kingman, Ariz., and Philip N. (Colleen) Warren of Youngstown, Ohio; two daughters, Elisabeth Birch of Raleigh, N.C., and Susan (Waylan) Helms of Fairhope; five grandchildren; and a dear companion, Marguerite Peterson.

Visitation will begin at 10 a.m. with a memorial service at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, April 30 from the chapel of Wolfe-Bayview Funeral Home in Fairhope.

The family requests memorial donations be made to the James P. Nix Center.
