Walter Monroe Parker, 79, born in Covington County, Ala. and a resident of Bay Minette, died Friday, Aug. 9, 2013 at Thomas Hospital in Fairhope.
Mr. Parker was natural gas instrumentation technician with North Baldwin Utilities.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Annette Daughtry Parker, Bay Minette; two sons, Tony Monroe Parker and his wife, Miriam, of Bay Minette and Jason Todd Parker and his wife, Julie, of Lake Charles, La.; four grandchildren, Dustin Smith, Torrie Nagem, Jason Todd Parker Jr. and Brandi Nichole Parker; two brothers, Wilson Parker and Jimmy Parker, both of Andalusia; three sisters, Esther Davis and her husband, Boots, of Loango, Ala., Carolyn Boggan of Loango and Betty Solice and her husband, Paul, of West Monroe, La.; sister-in-law, Shirley Hodge; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Daughtry and Larry Daughtry.
The graveside service and burial will be held Monday, Aug. 12, 2013 at 11 a.m., at Stockton Memorial Cemetery, with the Rev. Glen Whitfield officiating.
There will be no visitation per Mr. Parker’s request.
