Marian A. Wolfe Walker, 81, a native of Santa Rosa County, Fla., and a resident of Robertsdale, died Friday, March 27, 2009.
She was an employee of the Santa Rosa County School System for 23 years as a teacher assistant; of Methodist by faith; loved to work with arts and crafts and square dance; was a member of the Canoe Square Dance club and the Northwest Florida Square Round Dance Association.
She was preceded in death by her late husbands, Delma B. Wolfe and James R. Walker; sister, Vonia Barnes; and brother, Doyle Elmer Atkins.
Survivors include two sons, Theodore Delma “Ted” (Janet) Wolfe and Terry Dean (Jamie) Wolfe, both of Robertsdale; step-daughter, Mary Fay Pruitt of Jay, Fla.; step-son, James E. Walker of Missouri; five brothers, Atharay Atkins of Arcadia, Fla., Autis “Monk” (Edna Bell) Akins of Crestview, Fla., I.D. Atkins of Pensacola, Fla., Bernie (Dorothy) Atkins and Eugene (Joyce) Atkins, all of Milton, Fla.; two sisters, Charlotte (Marlin) Bass of Crestview, Fla., and Ala Mae (Bill) Coogle of Milton, Fla.; sister-in-law, Anita Atkins of Jay, Fla.; brother-in-law, Tom Barnes of Munson, Fla.; 11 grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service was held Thursday, April 2 at Serenity Gardens in Milton, Fla.
Arrangements were made by Mack Funeral Home and Crematory, Robertsdale.
