BAY MINETTE, Alabama — Bay Minette residents will head to the polls today to elect a mayor and a council slate. Runoffs will be Oct. 23, if needed.
Polls will open at 7 a.m. and close at 7 p.m. Voters will cast their votes for their district’s council member and mayor of Bay Minette.
Districts 1, 2, 3 and 5 will vote at the John F. Rhodes Civic Center, at 301 D’Olive St., and District 4 at the Douglasville Community Center on Hurricane Road.
The city of Bay Minette is a “Mayor-Council” form of government. The mayor and five council members are elected every four years.
The city is divided into five districts, with a Council Member elected from each district, and the mayor elected from the city at large.
