Engineering, he moved to Cleveland, Ohio, and continued to play at different courses during his career. After Fred and his wife Dot moved to Glenlakes he became the treasurer of the Men's Golf Association. He enjoyed playing golf with his two sons and was pleased to help his grandson earn his golf merit badge towards becoming an Eagle Scout. Fred's friends have referred to him as a ‘Gentleman Golfer.’
