‘Visions of Christmas’ to return to Orange Beach Dec. 3-6

The holiday season is approaching along the Gulf Coast and “Visions of Christmas” is ready to help the community celebrate with four performances of its annual Christmas music extravaganza Dec. 3-6 at the Orange Beach Performing Arts Center.

“Kicking off the homestretch to Christmas and filling people with holiday cheer, ‘Visions of Christmas’ (V.O.C.) is a show you don’t want to miss,” Expect Excellence Music Department Manager Caleb Pittman said in a news release.

Presented by the Expect Excellence Music Department, the production brings together talented performers and musicians from throughout the area for a festive celebration of the season.

“It has become a Christmas tradition for many families in our area. ‘Visions’ really fills audiences with the joy and happiness of the Christmas season,” said Performing Arts Center Manager Stacie Brane.

Pittman encouraged residents to make the show part of their holiday plans and offered a preview of some of the music audiences can expect.

“You don't want to miss this special Christmas show, “ Pittman said.

The news release said among the featured Christmas songs are crowd favorites “Little Drummer Boy” and “Hark! The Herald Angels Sing!,” which are sure to help audiences get into the holiday spirit.

The performances will take place at the Orange Beach Performing Arts Center, located at 23908 Canal Road on the eastern side of the O.B.M./H.S. campus. The first three shows begin at 7 p.m. Dec. 3-5, followed by a 2 p.m. matinee Dec. 6.

Tickets cost $5 per person and are available online at https://our.show/visions26. All seating is general admission and doors open one hour before each performance.

For more information or assistance with tickets, the box office can be reached at (251) 923-0043. Box office hours are 3:30-6 p.m. weekdays.

In addition to enjoying the holiday music, attendees are encouraged to bring a new, unwrapped present to support Toys for Tots. The campaign aims to ensure every child in Baldwin County has something to open under the tree on Christmas morning.

According to Pittman, one of the original inspirations for developing the production as an homage to the University of Mobile’s “Christmas Spectacular” was to establish a toy drop-off point for the Toys for Tots campaign during the performances.

With holiday music, local talent and an opportunity to support children in the community, “Visions of Christmas” offers audiences a chance to celebrate the season while helping make Christmas brighter for families across Baldwin County.
