USA Health sets Jan. 29 Doc Rock fundraiser at Soul Kitchen

Posted

USA Health will bring its fifth annual Doc Rock battle-of-the-bands fundraiser to downtown Mobile on Thursday, Jan. 29, 2026, raising money for research and critical clinical needs across the health system.

The event will be held at Soul Kitchen, with doors opening at 6:30 p.m. and music starting at 7 p.m. according to a news release. Proceeds from ticket sales, sponsorships and voting donations will directly support research initiatives and clinical priorities tied to each participating band.

After reviewing applications from numerous local bands connected to USA Health, the Doc Rock selection committee announced five finalists: Eklektik Experience, No Complications, Sixth Sense, Sloth Racer and Society Hill. Each band will compete live for top honors while rallying support for a designated USA Health entity.

"Doc Rock is one of my favorite events of the year,” CEO of USA Health Natalie Fox said in the release. "The energy in the room is unmatched with wall-to-wall smiles, great music, and a night full of fun that rallies support for our health system, our employees, and the patients we serve."

Early voting is now open, allowing supporters to help their favorite band earn one of four awards while also contributing to its fundraising total. Awards include the Crowd Favorite Award for the audience’s favorite band, $2,000; the Technical Award selected by judges, $3,000; the Fan-atic Award for the largest number of donors, $4,000; and the Rock the Mission Award for the highest fundraising band, $5,000.

Since launching in 2022, Doc Rock has raised nearly $200,000 to advance research and patient care at USA Health. The event’s growing impact was recognized in early 2025 when it was named Business Alabama’s Philanthropic Project of the Year and featured in the publication.
