This summer, USA Health welcomed 34 teen volunteers to its Children's & Women's Hospital and University Hospital campuses. The program provided a unique opportunity for the teens to engage directly with patients and staff, contributing over 1,000 volunteer hours across various roles.

At Children's & Women's Hospital, the teen volunteers enriched the pediatric tower experience, spending quality time with patients and their families during a special summer camp. Meanwhile, at University Hospital, they helped spread cheer with the jolly trolley, distributing treats and assisted with patient access services, where patients are admitted.

"Teen volunteers often play a crucial role in supporting patients, visitors, and staff in our healthcare facilities," said Rebekah Blanchard, director of volunteer services for USA Health. "Volunteers are at the heart of what we do, and this is a wonderful opportunity for young people to have a new experience in a healthcare setting."

The program concluded with a celebratory party at Top Golf, marking the end of an impactful summer for the young volunteers.
