Baldwin County Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster (VOAD) will meet on Thursday, April 18, at 10 a.m. The meeting will take place at the Baldwin County Emergency Operations Center, located at 23100 McAuliffe Drive, Robertsdale.
The primary objective of Baldwin County VOAD is to facilitate streamlined and collaborative assistance to residents affected by disasters across Baldwin County. This mission is achieved through joint efforts in the four key phases of disaster management: preparation, response, recovery and mitigation.
Bringing together various agencies, Baldwin County VOAD operates with the shared goal of providing swift and effective support to families in Baldwin County during times of crisis. By pooling resources and expertise, these agencies ensure a coordinated response to adversity.
Organizations interested in contributing to this mission are encouraged to spread the word among churches, Rotary Clubs, corporations, private businesses, nonprofits and similar entities. Membership in Baldwin County VOAD requires a nominal $10 annual fee, with quarterly meetings held throughout the year.
