FOLEY, Ala. — Two graduates of Foley High School were among 40 selected as Auburn University’s Top 40 graduates in the College of Business’ first 40 years.
Valerie Schreiber Camp, Class of 1983 at FHS, and Steve Robinson, Class of 1968, were selected and appeared in the 2008 edition of “The Shareholder,” a publication by the College of Business.
Valerie Schreiber Camp is the daughter of Bob and Mary Rush Schreiber of Foley. Steve Robinson is the son of John and Martha Robinson of Foley.
Robinson, Class of 1972 at Auburn, is senior vice-president/chief marketing officer for Chick-fil-A Inc., described in “The Shareholder” as one of the nation’s largest family-owned restaurant chains.
He joined Chick-fil-A in 1981 as director of marketing. Prior to that, Robinson was director of marketing for Six Flags Over Georgia theme park.
Robinson earned an associate of science degree in business from Faulkner State Junior College and a bachelor’s in marketing from Auburn. He received a master’s in advertising from Medill School of Journalism at Northwestern University in Chicago.
He and wife, Dianne, have two married children and one granddaughter.
According to “The Shareholder,” Robinson is an active member and elder at North Metro Church in Marietta, Ga. He is a board member of Campus Crusade for Christ and Family Life Ministry.
His personal interests are family, church and golf. Professionally, he enjoys strategic planning and “great execution.”
Valerie Schreiber Camp is assistant general counsel at BE&K Inc. with primary responsibility in claims management against the company, which has over 11,000 employees, and its subsidiaries.
She graduated in 1987 with degrees in international business and German and accepted a position with Aetna Casualty & Surety, where she eventually became senior claim representative. She attended Cumberland School of Law, where she graduated magna cum laude in 1993.
For four years she worked at Cabaniss, Johnston, Gardner, Dumas & O’Neal law firm. In 1997, she moved to BE&K Inc., “a diversified engineering and construction firm,” according to “The Shareholder.” Camp is a member of the Birmingham and Alabama Bar Association and the Alabama Chapter of Corporate Counsel among other professional associations. She is on the board of the Alabama Center for Law and Civic Education.
A member of the Junior League of Birmingham, she has volunteered with agencies including YWCA Children in Crisis. She headed the 2007 United Way of Central Alabama campaign on behalf of BE&K and raised more than $340,000.
“Her greatest volunteer passion is the Literacy Council of Central Alabama,” “The Shareholder” said.
