Tumpsie Trione, 87, son of Angelo and Alvira Manci Trione of Daphne, passed away Thursday, Feb. 20, 2014.
He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Christine Pintarelli Trione; a son, Dominic (David Reiley) Trione; his sister, Helen Trione Callaway; and many nieces, nephews and other relatives.
After graduating from Fairhope High School, he was drafted into the U.S. Army during World War II. He served as a mess sergeant until being discharged.
He was a bartender at Manci’s Antique Club for many years. He worked for Moorman Feed Co. for 15 years.
He and his wife, Christine, operated the Tumpsie Trione catering business for many years.
He was very active in many organizations throughout Baldwin County. Politicians and friends knew him as “Mr. Democrat.”
Funeral services will be held Saturday, Feb. 22, 2014, at 10:30 a.m., at Christ the King Catholic Church in Daphne.
Interment will follow in Belforest Catholic Cemetery.
Pallbearers are Doug Chandler, Wade Davis, Steve Penry, David Reiley, Joel Sermon and Eddie Westbrook.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to St. Vincent DePaul Church, 620 Gilmer St. Tallassee, AL 36078, or the American Cancer Society.
